One Accord
Prayer – week of 01-11-10
ELOHIM, Mighty Creator – Psalm 102:25-27 “Of old
Thou didst found the earth; and the heavens are the work of Thy hands. Even they will perish, but Thou dost endure;
and all of them will wear out like a garment; like clothing Thou wilt change them, and they will be changed. But Thou art the
same, and Thy years will not come to an end.”
PRAISE – Praising God for who He is,
His attributes, His name, and His character.
This
is the God of the very first sentence in the Bible – “In the beginning God
created the heavens and the earth.” He is the one who began it all yet is
without beginning Himself. He made
everything out of nothing, imposed order on chaos, gave birth to beauty and
called it all good. And He placed us on
the earth for a purpose – to magnify His name.
SILENT CONFESSION – Any
tendency to place God on your own level, subject to the same laws and
limitations of man.
Romans 9:20 On the
contrary, who are you, O man, who answers back to God? The thing molded will
not say to the molder, “Why did you make me like this,” will it?
Isaiah 55:8 “For My
thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are you ways My
ways,” declares the Lord. “For as the
heavens are higher than the earth, so are My ways
higher than your ways, and My thoughts than your thoughts.”
THANKSGIVING - O Lord, how many are Thy works! In
wisdom Thou hast made them all; the earth is full of Thy creatures.
INTERCESSION - Praying for Our Children and others: That they will
have a desire to know their Creator.
Psalm
139:14 I will give thanks to Thee, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made;
wonderful are Thy works, and my soul knows it very well.
Genesis
2:7 Then the Lord God formed man of dust from the ground, and breathed into his
nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living being.
Ephesians
2:10 For we are His workmanship, created in Christ
Jesus for good works; which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in
them.
PERSONAL
INTERCESSION – Psalm 55:22 Cast your
burden upon the Lord, and He will sustain you;
Gal. 6:2 Bear one another’s burdens, and
thus fulfill the law of Christ.
