Tapestry is an active women's ministry at Southwood Bible Church in which women share their talents, spiritual gifts and life experiences with one other. It is the goal of Tapestry to fulfill God's purpose stated in Titus 2:3-5~

"Older women teach what is good..to encourage the young women to love their husbands, to love their children...and to be workers at home...that the word of God may not be dishonored."

April 24-25, 2009 Ladies Retreat ALL YOU NEED IS LOVE!

  • The words are familiar – “Love is patient, love is kind….Love never fails....” But why does my love fail when a child is rebelling, a husband is neglectful, or a family member is demanding? Even when things are going well, this kind of love is too big for me! Come to Camp Loughridge April 24-25 and share a weekend with other women who are facing the same challenges. Join us as we learn from God’s Word how to treat “One Another” and how Love holds it all together. SIGN UP NOW! See Joy or Rochelle or email Celeste for more information and a registration form – southwoodceleste@gmail.com

Women's Bible Studies

  • Every Thursday at 10:00, Dan Hill teaches a women's Bible study.

One Accord Prayer Ministry

  • The women of SBC are actively involved in praying for one another. We use an organized format for prayer that is similar to "Mom's in Touch International", which includes Praise, Confession, Thanksgiving and Intercession. This form of prayer has absolutely revolutionized the prayer lives of many of the women at SBC! We are in awe at how God has used prayer to change our own lives, and the life of our church! For detailed information about this prayer ministry, visit One Accord Prayer.
  • Prayer times: Tuesday night prayer time at Southwood, 7:00pm. Thurs~9:00am back foyer, before Ladies Bible Class.
  • If you'd like to join a group, please contact Celeste Rosenthal or just show up! We'd love for you to join us!

How to Get Involved

  • If you'd like to get plugged into ministry or service around the church, contact Cynthia Woodson. We always need extra hands!
